The Series

Oct. 22-30: ”Girdle Bound,” a one-act play by Peter Davis — When Alice ‘s husband dies of a heart attack, leaving her indebted to creditors she never knew existed, she has no choice but to move in with her daughter, Molly. Alice wants her own place, but lacks the job experience and business skills to get it. Molly has found her own way to overcome this deficit—as a dominatrix. Now she demands her mother snap out of her grief and create a new identity, with an emphasis on marketable values. What’s a mother/daughter to do?

Dec. 10-18: “Fools Call It Fate,” a full-length play by Jessica McHugh — Six characters find themselves entwined in each other’s lives, sharing each other’s secrets, and enacting each other’s darkest fantasies of revenge, in this story of sex, coincidence, and an electronic cigarette.

Feb. 11-19: “Welcome to the Good Life, Baby!” a one-act play by D. L. Faulkner — It’s the dystopian future, and you want a child. Rather than find a mate, you head to the local department store to pick your bundle of joy fresh from the box. But what do you do if you’re a breeder, condemned to give birth to babies that will never be yours? Dora and Cindy will soon discover that this is a dangerous question to ask.
