So, anyone heading out to the 3:00 PM Sylvia matinee and fighting past the Mayor’s Christmas Parade today….

Special Note regarding the Sunday 12/6 3pm performance: Parts of Falls Rd and The Avenue on 36th Street will be closed from 1pm to 5pm for The Mayor’s Annual Christmas Parade.

Please allow extra time to get to the theatre. The following may be a useful alternate route:

From I83 exit East towards W Cold Spring Ln & Grandview Ave Baltimore, MD 21209

1. Head south on Grandview Ave toward W Old Cold Spring Ln – 0.3 mi
2. Turn right at Roland Heights Ave – 217 ft
3. Turn left at Buchanan Ave – 472 ft
4. Turn left at Medfield which turns into Edgehill Ave – 0.2 mi
5. Take the 3rd right onto W 41st St – 0.1 mi
6. Take the 1st left onto Buena Vista Ave – 0.3 mi
7. Take the 2nd right onto Union Ave – 0.1 mi

What’s that? This would be great with a Google Maps link? Well, okay….

This will eventually(?) be the post for the presskit for AR Gurney’s Sylvia.

How will this work? Well, anyone (with an account – like maybe the director) can come in here and post the relevant bits of the presskit – photos and captions, the program, press release, Fact sheet, etc.

They should then categorize it as “Presskit” – and also the Season and show to which it belongs.

This will allow us to do a couple of things. First, there’s a handcrafted “Presskit” link in the QuickLinks portion of the website that will take you to a post archive page that will show only those posts categorized Presskit. The archive page will show the most recent (current) presskit, followed by teasers for several (4) other presskits – so the current presskit is nice and handy. Now, on the old site, once a new show came up, the presskit got overwritten, so if you wanted to take a look at stuff we did last month or last year – you were out of luck. But now – if you want to go back and look at old presskits – you’re more than welcome to. Thus, we create an archive of all of our old presskits.

Categorizing by Season and show will also allow a visitor to follow the posts pertaining to a certain show – or take a look at all the posts on all the shows on a certain season.
